Klynton Howell

Over the past 30 years, Klynton has worked across a broad range of industries obtaining a diverse range of skills and knowledge form areas such as Farming, Defence, Construction, Trades, Corrective services, Power Generation, Water / Sewage treatment and Heavy mining and Agriculture.
Klynton’s heavy industry trade career started during his time employed with the Royal Australian Navy, whilst serving in the RAN Oberon class submarine fleet, based in North Sydney. Klynton also trained for service in the new Collins class submarines and was part of the HMAS Onslow de-commissioning crew prior to completing his term of service.
Since starting his safety career, Klynton has complimented his operational experience but advancing his knowledge through tertiary studies in WHS, successfully completing his Masters in WHS at the University of Newcastle in 2016.
Klynton has introduced and implemented the ICAM investigation methodology to several organisations and has taken on the role of trainer, coach and mentor during these implementation projects.
Klynton has been a project led and key stakeholder in many WHS projects such as contractor HSE management, AS 4801 OHSMS development and implementation, Change management, behaviour safety programs, in house investigation training, systems auditing and emergency management.
